Sydney  Marketing Society aims to realise our goals through various career-oriented events throughout the year such as our networking events, career fairs, panel events and mentoring programs. 

Corporate Networking Event

SMS is back with it’s flagship CORPORATE NETWORKING EVENT - this year in a new and exciting ONLINE format!

Join us at our highly anticipated Corporate Networking Event to hear from and chat to industry professionals from a range of esteemed companies, including Unilever, Westpac, Nestlé, UM, TechTarget and more. Practise your networking skills, gain invaluable industry insights, ask career-related questions and hear about exciting career opportunities, and learn how to have a competitive edge in your applications from the companies themselves.

This year, the event will be held ONLINE via Zoom to comply with the University’s COVID-19 policy.
DATE: Thursday 18th March
TIME: 4:00pm-6:30pm, split into THREE sessions. Please only attend your selected session.
COST: FREE for SMS members
DRESS CODE: Smart casual

HOW IT WORKS
To ensure the event runs smoothly on Zoom, there will be THREE networking sessions:
Company Introductions and Session 1 ➡ 4:00pm - 5:10pm
Session 2 ➡ 5:10pm - 5:50pm
Session 3 ➡ 5:50pm - 6:30pm

Each student will sign up to ONE session. Sponsors will be present for all three sessions. There are limited spots available in each session to ensure that all attendees will have adequate time to network, so get in quick!

Students who sign up to Session 1 will be able to watch the company intros live, but we will record this and send it out afterwards for students in Sessions 2 and 3.

We'll also be sending out an ‘About Our Sponsors’ flyer to all students before the event so that you can come prepared with questions. Please spend some time doing this as you will only get 10 minutes with each sponsor.

DURING YOUR SELECTED SESSION:
1. Company representatives will be located in breakout rooms.
2. Students will select and enter the breakout room of the companies they'd like to speak to.
3. If one company breakout room is at capacity, we will ask you to visit another. After all, the more networking, the better!

Please join the event Zoom 5-10 MINUTES EARLIER than the listed time for your session. You will be placed in the Waiting Room while we mark your name off for verification and crowd control purposes. We thank you for your patience and understanding!
