Applications are now OPEN for First Years and Senior Buddies (students in second year and above) for Sydney Marketing Society’s inaugural Peer Buddy Program!
For first years, entering university can be overwhelming and confusing at first, and you may wish you had some form of guidance. In light of this, SMS is introducing its brand new Peer Buddy Program! This program provides first year students with the opportunity to be matched with a Senior Student Buddy, who will provide guidance throughout the trials and tribulations university. Senior Buddies will get to take a first year under their wing, develop their mentoring and leadership skills, and make a new friend!
FIRST YEAR STUDENTS
If you’re a first year, you will be able to chat to your buddy about your experiences at university and in entering the workforce, ask any burning questions, and form a valuable new friendship as you enter the world of uni. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get a jump-start on your university journey!

STUDENTS SECOND YEAR AND ABOVE
SMS is looking for students to take on SENIOR BUDDY ROLES! This is a great opportunity for you to show future employers your interpersonal and leadership skills, while also making a positive impact on your fellow students. Students who wish to apply to be a Senior Buddy must be in their second year of study or above.

Applications for both First Years and Senior Buddies OPEN on Monday 22nd February at 10:00pm, and CLOSE on Friday 12th March at 11:00pm. Late applications will not be accepted.
PROGRAM DATES:
The program will run in Semester 1 from Tuesday 30th March (Week 5) to Friday 4th June (Week 13).
-Opening Event: 6:00pm-7:00pm, Tuesday 30th March (Week 5)
-Mid-Program Catchup: 6:00pm-8:00pm, Thursday 6th May (Week 9)
This program is free and open to ALL students at the University of Sydney:
-You must be in your first year of study to apply to be matched with a Senior Student Buddy, and have an interest in Marketing.
-Students who wish to become Senior Buddies must be in their second year of study or above AND be majoring in Marketing.
